Watch this Doritos Commercial

Our buddy and long time supporter of our cause James created this commercial for the Crash the Super Bowl commercial. In my opinion, this commercial rocks… just like the tastebud in this commercial. Check it out and help vote when the time comes… If you want to watch in the player, hit the play button above.

Bloc28 series 2

Last night marked the second series of Bloc28 at the continental gallery in Los Angeles.  If you don’t know what the Bloc28 series is, it’s a collabo between street artists and Disney.

It documents each artists interpretation of Mickey Mouse.  The Gallery Show runs from Nov. 13th through the 16th. Check out the gallery for more pics!

éS x Justin Eldridge x Evan Hecox Collaboration

Chocholate Skateboards and Evan Hecox are almost synonomous.  For years, this artist has been associated with the brand and is probably reponsible for giving the board manufacturer its identity.

From Sole Tech:

Evan’s way of capturing bits and pieces of urban living in his drawings and paintings, then applying them to skateboard graphics, helped breathe new life into the Chocolate brand in the mid and late 90’s and his board graphics still fly off the shelf today.

Having shown in galleries around the world, Evan’s artwork still regularly appears on Chocolate decks today and we’re truly fortunate to feature it here on Justin’s new shoe with this Chocolate collaboration.

Now this is not Chocolate’s first collabo on a sneaker w/ Evan Hecox. But in my opinion, It’s probably one of the best.  More images after the Jump.

Mike Giant’s ‘This Way/That Way’ Zine

You may know of Mike Giant, the celebrated tattoo artist, for a number of reasons. Maybe you follow street wear and street culture and as such, have inevitably run across Giant’s work in your circle at some point through his Rebel 8 line. Or maybe you’ve just followed graphic design close enough to see his work on everything from a Converse sneaker to one of his many shows, seen his work in a fairly recent edition of Juxtapoz or inevitably you then might have come across him by way of the Fecal Face site. Whatever way in which you’ve become familiar with the man and underground brand that is Mike Giant, then you know his name implies quality and roots in the scene. Currently, Giant has a zine that chronicles his travels in Australia during 2007 available for purchase at Izrock.com. The zine flips in format, respectively covering Sydney in one specific visual orientation and Melbourne in the corollary, of that orientation. (Think of it in much the same way Complex is laid out with the editorial and buyer’s guide, set in opposite vertical directions.) For those of us out there that are fans of zines and underground culture, the somewhat small price of seventeen bones for a Mike Giant collector’s item, even in these tougher economic times, is well worth it.
